The BEST PRACTICES PROJECT PROPOSAL
is to the right.

THE LOGIC OF REVIVAL AND FAITH FORMATION
In the shadow of the 2008 Presidential campaign and election of Barack Obama, and reports that 60% of Catholics voted for this most pro-death candidate ever, thus cooperating with the intrinsic evil of abortion -- this essay argues for three things: (1) Prayer and fasting for a holiness revival in the Catholic Church; (2) Commitment of the faithful to conforming their lives to holiness; and (3) the incessant, unending implementation of a project we might call BEST PRACTICES OF FAITH FORMATION, which is described in a proposal linked elsewhere on this page.

THE BIBLE CATHOLIC: Imbuing the Word of God into Catholic Practice
This document hopes to encourage the Synod of Bishops meeting in October 2008 on The Word of God to adopt a range of methodologies to draw Catholics closer to God through his written Word.

A FIRST STEP SUGGESTION AT GETTING CATHOLICS TO READ THE BIBLE
A blog entry on a first step, of a larger comprehensive plan, to make the Bible a personal and necessary part of the lay Catholic's life. I've received a lot fo criticism on this, but I know I'm right. It is silly that the proclamation of the word, during Mass, MUST BE ONLY heard and not read. And it is satanic for Catholics to suggest that the noise of people turning pages in their Bible during Mass would be a distraction. Evangelicals do a much better job of forming their adherants in their faith than Catholics do. And such fundamental techniques as this blog entry suggests is one of the reasons. Who will take the lead on this?

CONFIRMATION REQUIREMENTS: THE LOGICAL NECESSITY OF LEVEL 2 TESTING FOR CONFIRMATION
A blog entry on the ridiculous laziness of faith formation leaders who do not take their job seriously enough. We think nothing of requiring Level 2 testing for every academic skill (temporal effect) and we demand that our sports teams meet minimum performance requirements (also temporal in effect) but when it comes to ETERNAL issues, why do we think they are so unimportant as to not require any testing at all?

WORLD BIBLE QUIZ ASSOCIATION The hands down BEST PRACTICE for youth to know the Bible IS BIBLE QUIZZING. It's fun, it's international, it's almost addictive, and it builds strong Christian youth relationships...with other Christian youth, and with God. I do not know of a Catholic Bible Quiz league, which is probably the reason Catholics don't know their Bible's very well --- as compared to Evangelicals. This link is probably the main clearing house for Bible Quizzing. Plenty of Links.
